Do People Still Wear Fur ?

"500 years ago everyone wore fur to stay warm, we're just doin' what our ancestors did, right ? "

Sure, this is true, but people in the 16th Century didn’t have hi-loft, ultra-warm polyester fiber as an alternative.

In those days, for the most part, it was a question of survival. If you didn’t wear thick fur, you might not make it through a cold, harsh winter.

And there were a lot fewer people, and a lot more animals in the world.

Today, most people who can afford to wear fur have heated homes, offices, cars and heated seats.

Wearing the dead skin of 30 beautiful, cuddly foxes or minks is just not warranted.

The fur industry is brutal and cruel. Ultra-violence and death of dozens of mammals just to make a status symbol, often used simply to display wealth.

We are the self-appointed custodians of the world, surely it is time to evolve as a species?!
