Local Government Corruption

"We don't have corruption here in America. What do we look like, some sort of Banana Republic?!"

From a 2016 IEA Report:

Institutional and administrative barriers include a lack of institutions and authorities dedicated to renewables; the absence of clearly defined responsibilities; complicated licensing procedures; difficulty with land acquisition and permission; inadequate planning
guidelines; and complex, slow, lengthy or opaque permitting processes. Political or other resistance to renewable energy – such as institutional corruption and anti-renewables lobbying – can impede further development (IEA, 2016).”

(see page 21 of ‘Reference 2’ below)

This is a significant problem, with no easy solution. It is perhaps the most intractable of all roadblocks to adopting renewable energy.

If the Oil & Gas hegemony is ‘lobbying’ (aka. bribing) your local government officials, preventing you from installing clean, healthy wind turbines and/or solar panels, and driving low cost electric cars, you have a steep uphill battle on your hands.

However, since the life and health of you and your children depend upon your success, you have no choice but to defeat these forces of evil.

Get together with your neighbors, and find your collective voice. Remember, at the end of the day, corrupt government officials are not only harming their constituents, but also their own children and grandchildren. So many of them are subconsciously looking for a reason to end their destructive behavior.

You CAN defeat corruption, and you MUST !
